Of Waterloo, Sierra Leone. A Colony-born Christian, of the Egba Tribe. At the Grammar School, Freetown. A Catechist at Murray Town and Gloucester. 1861, February 24, deacon, and 1863, March 15, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Gloucester, Sierra Leone. 1862, transferred to the Native Pastorate of St. Michael's Parish, including Waterloo, Benguema, Middle Town, Macdonald, Campbell Town, Kakunda Town, and Matindi.
