Of Sierra Leone, West Africa. Native Christian. Egba Race. At Church Missionary Society Schools. Schoolmaster and Catechist at Badagry and Lagos. 1871, December 3, ordained a deacon, and 1880, December 21, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Badagry, afterwards at Lagos and Ebute Ero. Translated the Books of Ruth and Nehemiah, afterwards revised by Bishop Crowther; also the Books of Esther and Ezra.
