Of Sierra Leone, West Africa. Colony-born Christian. 1838, at Fourah Bay Institution, and 1844, at Church Missionary College, Islington. 1843, Catechist and Assistant Schoolmaster at Kissey Road. 1846, Tutor in Grammar School. 1849, Trinity Sunday, deacon, and September 29, ordained a priest by Bishop of London. Stationed at Kissey Road. 1862, transferred to the Native Pastorates of Kent and Wilberforce. 1871, Colonial Chaplain at Cape Coast.
