Catechist at Breadfruit, Lagos. 1876, March 5, ordained a deacon and 1879, March 9, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Ebute Meta, afterwards at Ode Ondo. 1893, to England--degree of D.D. conferred by Durham University--and June 29, consecrated at St. Paul's Cathedral, by Archbishop of Canterbury, with Isaac Oluwole as Assistant Bishop in Western Equatorial Africa. 1893, November 11, to Lagos.
