Of Mauritius. An Indian Christian, born in the Island. In Preparandi Institution, Rose Belle. Schoolmaster and Catechist. 1882, September 16, ordained a deacon by the Bishop of Mauritius (Royston) and 1892, March 13, ordained a priest by the Bishop of Mauritius (Walsh). Missionary to the Bengalis and Hindi-speaking Indians in the Mauritius. Is acquainted with the Hindi, Bengali, Uriya, French, and English languages. Stationed at Port Louis.
